And Jillian is here to show you exactly how, with timely conversations and solid resources, sprinkled with a little grace for you, your work, and all of the roles you fill! This episode is sponsored by my free resource, Manage Your Boundaries, Energy, and Time Like a CEO. Because I know you're a busy woman and you probably don't have time to read a 50-page e-book or watch a 20 min video, I have summed this resource up in an audio format (with a transcript of course). In addition to that, it comes with a guided diagram to walk you through where you are feeling the tension in your business and action steps to take to resolve it in a healthy way, as well as email scripts to communicate with your clients through points of tension or conflict. Who doesn't want that?! Feeling that constant pull like you are giving too much of yourself to your clients, but not sure how to NOT do that? Start with this resource. The link is in the show notes!
Non Negotiables In Business
CEO Time
As a CEO or working mom, carving out dedicated “CEO Time” is crucial. This is time to focus solely on strategic business tasks, without the distractions of daily operations. During this time, you can work on high-level planning, process improvements, professional development, and other initiatives that drive your business forward.
Self-Care Routine
Maintaining a consistent self-care routine is a non-negotiable. This could include things like a daily lunch break, regular exercise, or dedicated time for hobbies and relaxation. Protecting this time ensures you're energized and able to show up as your best self.
Focused Work Time
Scheduling and protecting dedicated work time for client projects, content creation, or other revenue-generating activities is vital. Block off these periods in your calendar and minimize interruptions to maximize your productivity.
Fun & Connection
Make time for fun, whether it's a regular date night, girls' night out, or family activities. Nurturing your personal relationships and taking breaks from work are essential for work-life balance and overall wellbeing.
New: Quarterly Planning
Quarterly business planning sessions have become a non-negotiable. This dedicated time allows you to review key metrics, update goals, and strategize for the next quarter. It ensures your business stays on track and aligned with your vision.
New: Outsourcing & Delegation
As your business grows, outsourcing and delegating tasks has become a non-negotiable. Identifying areas to offload work frees up your time for higher-level initiatives and prevents burnout.
Remember, your non-negotiables may look different from someone else's. The key is to define what is truly essential for the health of your business and your personal life as a working mom.
